The "Mhz" value for PowerState in the Power plugin is of some value, but not much in my view. It is the number in Mhz that is the "rated" vaule for your CPU. It is indeed a static number. I think of it more like the "advertised" number for the CPU. Of more value, in my opinion, is to get the "Core Clocks" value from HWiNFO, which is a dynamic value based on the actual current speed the average of your CPU cores are running at.

The manual could be better I guess, as the text "Current" doesn't really mean much. I'll fix that right away, thanks.
If that is what I think it is, i.e. the value you can get from the registry or the performance monitor in Windows (aka the "base speed" of the CPU), then it's actually important, since as far as I'm aware of, the "real" frequency of cores and their usage (as reported by Windows, not HWINFO) are based on a product of this base frequency and a "performance percent" from PerfMon, when using utility based CPU counters. Not on my laptop to be 100% certain about it so i could be wrong here, but that's what I remember...
